Getting Started & Accounts

What is Web2Hits?

Web2Hits is a website traffic exchange and promotional platform. Members can surf other members' websites to earn credits and use those credits to receive visits to their own approved websites. The service also includes advertising and promotional features such as banners and member promotional pages.

How do I get started?

Create an account, log in to the Members Area, add the website you want to promote, and assign credits where required. You can then use the surf area to earn additional credits by viewing other members' websites.

Is it free to join?

Web2Hits provides free-member access. Features, limits, surf ratios, bonuses, or other benefits may differ depending on the membership level currently offered by Web2Hits.

What is the difference between a free and upgraded account?

Upgraded accounts may receive additional benefits compared with free accounts, such as different surf ratios, promotional benefits, credits, or access to additional features. Check the current upgrade information in your Members Area for the benefits available to your account.

Can I have more than one account?

Members should follow the account rules stated in the Terms of Service. Duplicate or fraudulent accounts created to manipulate credits, surfing, referrals, advertising, or other Web2Hits systems are prohibited.

I cannot log in. What should I check?

Make sure you are using the correct login information and that cookies/session storage are permitted for Web2Hits. If the problem continues, use the available support options. An account that has been suspended or restricted may not have normal access.

Surfing & Traffic Credits

How does the traffic exchange work?

Members view websites in the Web2Hits surf area. After the required viewing period and successful completion of the surf step, the system awards credits according to the member's applicable surf ratio. Credits can then be used to send traffic to eligible websites added to the account.

How long do I have to view each website?

The normal Web2Hits surf experience uses an 8-second viewing timer. The timer must complete before the current surf can be properly credited.

Why are the site choices hidden while the timer is running?

The surf choices are intentionally unavailable during the countdown. They become available when the required viewing time has completed. This helps ensure that the current website receives its required viewing period before the next site is selected.

How do I earn credits?

Credits are primarily earned by legitimately surfing websites through the surf area. Your account type and current Web2Hits settings determine the applicable surf ratio and the amount credited for eligible surfing activity.

What is a surf ratio?

A surf ratio determines how much traffic credit you receive for eligible surfing activity. Web2Hits can provide different ratios depending on membership type or current account benefits.

Why did I not receive credit for a surf?

Possible reasons include leaving before the timer completed, an unsuccessful surf selection, a verification requirement, a session problem, reaching a system/account limitation, or activity rejected by the anti-cheat system. Refreshing or navigating away at the wrong time may also interrupt the normal crediting process.

Can I open several surf sessions to earn credits faster?

You should use the surf system only in ways permitted by the Terms of Service. Multiple or automated sessions used to manipulate credit earning or create artificial activity may be treated as cheating.

Why is there a small game or animation during the surf timer?

The waiting animation gives members something visual to view while the required surf countdown is running. It stops when the countdown completes and does not replace the requirement to legitimately participate in the surf process.

Does the surf area work on mobile devices?

The Web2Hits surf area includes a mobile layout. On smaller screens the interface is simplified so the site choice, timer, and surfing frame remain usable without requiring the full desktop layout.

Adding & Promoting Websites

How do I add my website?

Log in to the Members Area and use the website management section to add the website name and URL. Follow the on-screen options to activate the site and assign available traffic credits where required.

What websites can I promote?

Submitted websites must comply with the Web2Hits Terms of Service. Prohibited content includes illegal or malicious content and other categories specifically excluded by the Terms.

Does my website have to work inside the surf frame?

Yes. Websites submitted to the traffic exchange must display and remain usable inside the Web2Hits surf frame. Sites that deliberately break the frame, redirect the entire surf window, interfere with surfing, or otherwise prevent normal operation may be removed.

Why is my website not receiving traffic?

Check that the website is active, has the credits or allocation required for rotation, uses a working URL, and complies with the site rules. A paused, inactive, depleted, suspended, or incompatible site may not be placed into normal rotation.

Can I promote more than one website?

Where your account and current Web2Hits settings permit it, you can manage multiple websites from the Members Area and allocate traffic according to the available options.

Why does Web2Hits show a site name and domain in the surf bar?

The surf interface uses a simplified site choice so members can identify the next destination without displaying an unnecessarily long URL. Selecting an available choice loads that website into the surf frame.

Regular Banner Advertising

What are regular banner ads?

Regular banners are 468×60 advertising images that can rotate through eligible Web2Hits banner locations. They link to the target URL supplied for the banner.

When will my 468×60 banner rotate?

A banner must be active and have available impressions before it can be selected for normal rotation. Web2Hits rotates eligible banners according to the site's banner rotation system.

What happens to my banner impressions when my banner is displayed?

When an eligible banner is served, the banner system deducts an available impression and records the display in the banner statistics.

Does Web2Hits track banner hits and clicks?

Yes. The banner system can maintain display/hit statistics and click statistics so members can monitor banner activity through the available member tools.

Why did my banner stop displaying?

Check whether the banner is active and whether it still has available impressions. A banner with no remaining impressions or one that has been disabled will not be eligible for normal rotation.

Square Banner Advertising

What are square banners?

Square banners are 125×125 advertising graphics used in supported Web2Hits locations. They provide members with an additional visual advertising format alongside the regular 468×60 banner system.

How does square-banner rotation work?

Eligible square banners are selected from active banners that still have available impressions. Each served impression is recorded and deducted from the banner's remaining impression balance.

Are square-banner clicks tracked?

Yes. Square-banner clicks pass through the Web2Hits click-tracking system before the visitor is redirected to the banner's target website.

Free Pages & Pro Pages

What is a Web2Hits Free Page?

The Free Page feature allows eligible members to create a promotional page using the fields and promotional areas supplied by Web2Hits. Depending on the current page setup, members may be able to add content, a member image, banners, links, and other promotional information.

Does my Free Page have its own friendly URL?

Yes. Web2Hits supports member-friendly Free Page URLs so a member can share a cleaner promotional address rather than relying only on a long query-string URL.

What is a Pro Page?

The Pro Page is an enhanced member promotional-page feature. It can provide additional promotional content and statistics beyond the basic page experience, depending on the options currently enabled for your account.

Does my Pro Page track views?

Yes. Web2Hits can record total Pro Page views so members can see how often the page has been viewed.

What analytics are available for Pro Pages?

The Pro Page analytics system can provide information such as traffic sources, device types, and browsers. These statistics are intended to help members understand how visitors are reaching and viewing their promotional page.

Does my Pro Page have a friendly URL?

Yes. Supported Pro Pages can use a member-friendly URL that is easier to share and promote.

Promo Links & Referral Promotion

What are promo links?

Promo links are promotional URLs made available to members for sharing Web2Hits pages, offers, or referral-related content. The exact links and destinations available can vary by the promotional features enabled on the site.

Where can I find my promotional links?

Log in to the Members Area and open the relevant promotional or affiliate section. Available promotional links and advertising materials are displayed there when enabled for your account.

Can I use Web2Hits promotional banners on another website?

If Web2Hits provides promotional banner code or approved promotional materials for members, you may use those materials according to the applicable site and promotional rules.

Anti-Cheat & Surf Security

Does Web2Hits use anti-cheat detection?

Yes. Web2Hits uses anti-cheat and abuse-prevention measures in the surf area to help protect legitimate members and the integrity of the traffic exchange.

What can the anti-cheat system look for?

The system may evaluate activity or technical signals that can indicate auto-clickers, bots, scripts, macros, automated browsing, timer bypass attempts, mechanically generated clicking, or other behavior intended to obtain credits without legitimately participating in the traffic exchange.

Why did an anti-cheat verification appear while I was surfing?

Web2Hits can occasionally require a simple verification during surfing. A verification can be part of the normal anti-cheat process and does not by itself mean that your account has been found to be cheating.

How often can normal surf verification appear?

Verification is designed to occur occasionally rather than on every surf. The exact timing may vary as part of the security system.

Can Web2Hits detect an auto-clicker?

Web2Hits uses measures designed to identify activity consistent with automated or mechanically generated clicking. Members should surf manually and should not use auto-clickers, bots, macros, or similar tools.

Is every anti-cheat detection automatic proof of cheating?

No. Automated detection can identify activity for review, but a detection does not necessarily establish that a violation occurred. Available activity and other information may be reviewed when determining whether account action is appropriate.

Can anti-cheat events be recorded?

Yes. Security-related activity may be logged so Web2Hits administrators can monitor possible abuse, investigate repeated detections, and protect the traffic exchange.

What happens if I deliberately bypass the anti-cheat system?

Attempts to bypass, disable, manipulate, interfere with, or evade Web2Hits security or anti-cheat protections may result in restrictions, suspension, termination, or other action permitted by the Terms of Service.

Chat & Community

Does Web2Hits have a member chat area?

Web2Hits includes a member chat feature where available. Members using chat must follow the site's Terms and community rules.

Is the chatroom private?

No. Members should not treat the Web2Hits chatroom as a private communication channel. Chat activity may be subject to moderation.

Can administrators moderate the chat?

Yes. Administrators and authorized moderators may take reasonable moderation action when necessary to enforce site and community rules.

Statistics, Hits & Analytics

What is the difference between an impression, hit, click, and page view?
  • Impression: an eligible display of an advertisement such as a banner.
  • Hit/display: a recorded serving of an eligible promotional item where supported by that feature.
  • Click: a visitor selecting a tracked advertisement or promotional link.
  • Page view: a recorded viewing of a supported page, such as a Pro Page.

The exact statistics available depend on the Web2Hits feature being used.

Why might statistics not match another analytics service exactly?

Different systems can count activity differently. Browser restrictions, blocked scripts, repeat activity, filtering, redirects, timing, and differences in what each service defines as a view or visit can cause statistics to vary.

Rules, Suspensions & Troubleshooting

What can cause an account to be suspended?

Reasons may include deliberate cheating, fraudulent activity, prohibited content, malicious websites, abuse, harassment, attempts to interfere with Web2Hits systems, repeated rule violations, or other conduct prohibited by the Terms of Service.

Can a website be removed without closing my entire account?

Where appropriate, Web2Hits may remove or disable a submitted website or advertisement that violates site rules or creates a technical, security, legal, or operational problem.

Why is a website showing a blank page inside the surf frame?

Some external websites block being displayed inside frames or use security policies that prevent embedding. The submitted site must be compatible with the Web2Hits surf frame to participate properly in the traffic exchange.

Why did my surf session stop or log me out?

Expired sessions, blocked cookies, browser privacy settings, connectivity problems, server/session changes, or opening the service in an unsupported way can interrupt a session. Sign in again and make sure your browser allows the session features required by Web2Hits.

Can an ad blocker affect Web2Hits?

Browser extensions and content blockers can sometimes block advertising-related elements, scripts, frames, or other functionality. If part of Web2Hits does not display correctly, test the page with extensions disabled for Web2Hits or allow the required site functionality.

What should I do if I find a bug?

Please report unexpected behavior through the available Web2Hits support options. Do not intentionally exploit a bug to obtain credits, manipulate statistics, bypass restrictions, or interfere with other accounts.

Does Web2Hits guarantee sales or business results?

No. Web2Hits provides website traffic and promotional tools. It does not guarantee sales, leads, conversions, search-engine rankings, advertising revenue, or a specific business result.

Privacy, Cookies & Policies

Does Web2Hits use cookies?

Yes. Cookies or similar session technologies may be used for login, authentication, session management, security, preferences, and other functions required to operate the service. See the Cookie Policy for more information.

Where can I read the Privacy Policy?

You can read the Privacy Policy for information about how Web2Hits handles information associated with use of the service.

Where can I read the Terms of Service?

The complete site rules are available on the Terms of Service page. Members should review the Terms before using the traffic exchange and promotional features.
